WiSe Women's Health Poster Showcase

Theme: The Women’s Health Data Gap: What Should We Measure First?

Join the IEEE Sensors Council Women in Sensors (WiSe) program at IEEE FLEPS 2026 (Atlanta, GA | July 12–15, 2026) for a dedicated Women’s Health Poster Showcase highlighting flexible/printable/wearable sensors and data-driven approaches that advance women’s health across the life course.

What we’re looking for

We invite posters that address women’s health challenges through innovative sensing, materials, microfluidics, circuits, systems, and analytics, with a focus on what to measure first, how to validate, and what outcomes matter.

Example topic areas (not limited to):

  • Fertility, ovulation, menstrual health, hormone dynamics
  • Pregnancy & postpartum monitoring
  • Menopause, midlife health, cardiometabolic risk
  • PCOS, endometriosis, pelvic health
  • Mental health and cognition intersections
  • Inflammation, metabolism, electrolytes, biomarkers in sweat/ISF/blood/saliva
  • Wearables, e-textiles, skin-interfaced devices, flexible bioelectronics
  • At-home testing, remote monitoring, point-of-care platforms
  • Data standards, longitudinal measurement, AI/ML, bias mitigation, privacy-aware analytics
  • Clinical translation, validation, usability, and equitable access

Who should submit

Students, postdocs, early-career researchers, and professionals presenting women’s health-related work at IEEE FLEPS 2026 are encouraged to participate. Interdisciplinary submissions (engineering + clinical + data science) are especially welcome.

Outstanding posters will be recognized during the WiSe program.

Poster Travel Awards

WiSe plans to offer a limited number of student travel awards tied to poster presentations in the Women’s Health Poster Showcase.

Eligibility/selection criteria: Priority will be given to student presenters whose work demonstrates strong relevance to women’s health across the life course, technical innovation in sensing or systems design, and clear translational potential. A separate application is not required to be considered for the travel grant.

Deadline: June 12, 2026
