Join the Young Professionals program at IEEE FLEPS 2026 (Atlanta, GA | July 12–15, 2026) for a dynamic and interactive poster session designed to highlight the next generation of leaders in flexible/printable electronics. Unlike traditional research poster sessions, this showcase focuses on you (your ideas, your trajectory, and your vision for the field).

Young Professionals

Individuals within 15 years of receiving their first professional degree.

What this session is about

This session is not centered on a single completed project. Instead, it is an opportunity to present a holistic narrative of your work and aspirations, including:

  • Your research interests or technical focus within flexible/printable electronics
  • The key problems you want to solve (scientific, clinical, or industrial)
  • How your work connects across materials, devices, systems, and data
  • How you are planning to contribute to the field
  • Your career vision (whether in academia, industry, startups, or translational innovation).

We encourage participants to frame their posters as a “technical vision pitch”; something between a research poster, a roadmap, and a personal statement of impact.

Suggested poster elements

To help guide submissions, posters may include:

  • A central theme or problem space you are passionate about
  • 1–2 representative projects or experiences (published or in progress)
  • A forward-looking section:
    • Where is flexible electronics going?
    • What should we build next and why?
  • Integration across disciplines (e.g., mechanics, materials, bioelectronics, AI/ML, healthcare, manufacturing)
  • Highly encouraged: industry perspective, translational pathways, or startup ideas

Who should participate

We invite young professionals including but not limited to:

  • Undergraduate students, Graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers
  • Early-career faculty
  • Industry researchers and engineers
  • Entrepreneurs and innovators

Interdisciplinary perspectives spanning engineering, materials science, healthcare, and data science are especially encouraged.

Why participate

  • Build meaningful connections across the flexible/printable electronics community
  • Receive feedback on your research direction and career trajectory
  • Engage in discussions that go beyond individual projects towards flexible/printable electronics challenges

Selected posters will be recognized during the Young Professionals program.

Submission Details

  • Format: Vision-focused poster (not limited to a single project or research study)
  • Deadline: June 12, 2026

Local students are also invited to present at this poster session and network with industry professionals at the welcome reception, no conference registration required. The number of spots is limited.
